ISO has published ISO 14092:2026, a new international standard providing a structured framework for climate adaptation planning. The standard covers the full adaptation cycle, including governance, risk assessment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of climate resilience measures. It helps organizations and communities manage risks such as floods, heatwaves, and droughts while supporting alignment with global climate goals and improved access to climate finance.
The new standard helps organizations turn broad climate commitments into practical, structured adaptation plans based on clearly identified physical climate risks. It outlines a clear process for assessing vulnerabilities, setting priorities, and embedding climate resilience into business planning, which strengthens the credibility of adaptation efforts in sustainability reporting and financing discussions.
Aira, a company based in Stockholm, Sweden, has successfully raised €145 million in a Series B financing round led by prominent climate tech investors from Europe, the US, and Asia.
