Seven major companies, Amazon, Autodesk, Figma, Google, JPMorganChase, Salesforce, and Workday, launched the Superpollutant Action Initiative on March 5, 2026, committing to deploy $100 million by 2030 to reduce emissions of methane, black carbon, and refrigerant gases. These “superpollutants” trap heat far more powerfully than CO₂ and are estimated to be responsible for roughly half of all climate warming to date, while also contributing to harmful air pollution.
The initiative is coordinated by the Beyond Alliance, which will provide research, reporting, and knowledge sharing to guide project selection. A global roadmap, developed with the Carbon Containment Lab, will be released later this year to help other companies, investors, and governments deploy capital in the highest‑impact areas.
