ISS ESG has unveiled a new Industry Average Emission Intensity Data Set designed to assist banks and insurance companies in meeting climate-related disclosure requirements, particularly under the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Banking Authority (EBA) Pillar 3 ESG Disclosures.
By providing industry emission intensity averages based on established classifications, the dataset addresses the challenges of data scarcity faced by banks, streamlining their reporting processes.
This initiative reflects ISS ESG’s commitment to enhancing climate solutions and supporting financial institutions in navigating regulatory frameworks effectively.
The World Bank and African Development Bank have partnered to electrify 300 million people in Africa by 2030, which could halve the number of people in Africa living without electricity access.
