The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) have published a joint mapping resource highlighting the strong alignment between their respective biodiversity reporting frameworks.
The guidance document and correspondence table help GRI’s 14,000 reporters globally adopt the TNFD Recommendations, while assisting TNFD adopters in using GRI Standards. Key areas of consistency include the use of common nature-related concepts, materiality approaches, and disclosure metrics.
This collaboration aims to prevent double reporting, enable transparent disclosure of nature-related impacts, and harmonize the global sustainability reporting landscape. The initiative underscores the growing importance of measuring and managing biodiversity-related risks and opportunities for long-term business resilience.
