Ambienta SGR S.p.A., a European investment manager focused on environmental sustainability, has acquired Agronova Biotech, a Spanish company specializing in biological crop solutions. This marks Ambienta’s first move into sustainable agriculture and its debut investment in Spain, expanding its presence in the European market.

Agronova offers a strong portfolio of over 800 biostimulant and biocontrol products that help crops resist pests, diseases, and climate-related stress. With laboratories and production sites across Europe and the Americas, the company operates in a rapidly growing $21 billion biosolutions market.

Ambienta plans to grow Agronova both organically and through future acquisitions. The firm sees this step as strategically important – both for entering a high-potential sector and reinforcing its commitment to environmental innovation.
