Amazon Business has introduced a new feature that lets sellers on its B2B marketplace display their EcoVadis sustainability medals and badges directly on their store profiles and product pages, making this information a searchable criterion for buyers in the EU (including the UK, France, Spain, Italy, and Germany). The move responds to rising demand from business purchasers for greater supply chain transparency and sustainable procurement options, driven by regulatory pressures and stakeholder expectations around environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. Sellers who have achieved Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum medals or a Committed Badge through EcoVadis can now signal their verified sustainability credentials more visibly, helping buyers filter and prioritize suppliers with stronger sustainability management systems.
EcoVadis is a widely recognized sustainability ratings provider, assessing companies on environmental practices, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, with coverage of more than 150,000 organizations globally. Through the integration of these ratings into Amazon Business search and discovery, the platform aims to simplify how procurement teams identify and select suppliers with credible ESG performance, supporting both improved supply chain accountability and more responsible purchasing decisions.
